Fanning to Read in Poetry@Tech Series
On April 2nd, 2010 Robert will be a featured reader along with Barbara Hamby at Georgia Tech's Poetry@Tech series. This prominent series is facilitated by Thomas Lux, and has featured Billy Collins, Stephen Dobyns, Ross Gay, Tony Hoagland, Edward Hirsch, Patricia Smith, and many others.

Fanning Reads from American Prophet in Ann Arbor
On April 9, 2009, at 7 p.m., Robert Fanning will read poems from American Prophet at the Ann Arbor District Library in celebration of National Poetry Month.
American Prophet Embarks from Boston
The official launch of American Prophet takes place at 2 p.m. on April 11, 2009 at the Stata Center of the Massachussetts Institute of Technology. Robert Fanning will read from his collection, along with several other Marick Press authors whose books are being published.

Fanning Launches American Prophet at CMU
A crowd filled the Baber Room of the Park Library at Central Michigan University on Thursday, February 19, 2009 to listen to Robert Fanning read poems from American Prophet, his forthcoming book. Chris Belanger of Blacktop Orchestra played guitar preceding the reading.
American Prophet, Detroit-area Launch
On February 26, 2009, Robert Fanning reads with Randall Maggs at the Ewald Branch of the Grosse Pointe Public Library at 6:30 p.m. This reading will serve as the local launch of American Prophet in Detroit.

Fanning Reads at Benefit
On September 13, 2008 Robert will read in Bloomfield Hills, MI as a benefit for Forgotten Harvest, a non-profit organization that helps to feed the hungry. The reading will take place at the home of Klaus Entenmann (Chrysler CFO), and attendees will receive a special edition broadside of a poem Fanning wrote for the occasion.
CMU Community Welcomes Fanning, Bean
On September 25, 2008, Robert will read at Central Michigan University with poet and fellow new CMU professor Jeffrey Bean. The reading takes place on-campus in the Park Library and begins at 8 p.m.

Robert Fanning featured at Snowbound Reading Series
On January 17, 2007, Robert Fanning will be the featured reader at the Snowbound Reading Series, a series created and facilitated by poets Vievee Francis and Matthew Olzmann which pairs emerging poets with students in the Write Word, Write Now program. Students reading with Fanning are Tommye Blount and Scheherezade Parrish. These already well-attended and locally acclaimed readings take place in the upstairs fireside lounge of the Scarab Club, beginning at 7 p.m.

Readings Between A and B Series, New York City
Robert will be reading at the “Readings Between A and B Series” with Marie Howe on Monday, September 25, 2006 at 7:30 p.m. at the 11th Street Bar in the East Village, New York City. This popular NYC reading series pairs emerging writers with more established writers and draws together poets from different backgrounds and aesthetics. Over the past seven years, they’ve hosted over 350 remarkable poets. Last season the poets Louise Gluck, Forrest Gander, Joshua Clover, Elizabeth Willis and Martha Rhodes read on different nights with other emerging writers. Markus, the author of The Singing Fish, is the Fiction Editor for Marick Press; Kandpal's poetry collection Folding the River is due to be published by Marick in April 2007.
